Artists will also be coming together to participate in themed workshops, including a special "50th" workshop featuring songs tied to the festival's history, plus Celebrating our Heroes Departed, Global Percussion, Festival Tales, The Cypher: Freestyle Session and Trad Tunes.

Northern Lights Festival Boreal's 2019 edition featured performances from Basia Bulat, Haviah Mighty, Bedouin Soundclash, Sam Roberts Band and a whole lot more. The festival, like so many, was put on hold for the 2020 and 2021 festival seasons.
