No Gold

"Good and Bad"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 31, 2012

Tropically minded experimentalists No Gold take leave of the beach and head straight to the club on new number "Good and Bad," which is expected to appear on their as-yet-unannounced sophomore album.

Warbling keyboard swells straight out of Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman" and a funky synth bass wriggle in the background on the dance track, along with shakers and electronic timpani clacks, as singer Liam Butler describes an existential night scene. "All around me are good and bad decisions," he croons on the chorus.
