"I am really busy trying to finish a record," he wrote in a since-deleted tweet

Aside from dealing with the proceedings of the infamous Nevermind baby lawsuit, big-time Nickeback fan and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has been "really busy" working on a "secret" solo album.

In a now-deleted tweet, the musician broke the news with his followers by sharing Bass Player Magazine's new reflection on an interview he did with the publication in 2011 [via Guitar World].

"I have not read this in years, but recall being happy with how it turned out," he wrote over the weekend.

Novoselic added in a thread: "I am really busy trying to finish a record. In the middle of some hangups — looking for a mid-March release. But it's a secret, so don't tell anybody!!!" (We apologize for going against his triple-exclamation request.)

If that wasn't sudden and mysterious enough, the bassist's Twitter account now appears to be suspended. Perhaps he's a man of even more secrets than this forthcoming album, which would be his first solo effort.

Then again, he's also been known to have some controversial political opinions, so it might actually have something to do with that. Hangups, right?
