New Swears Sign to Dine Alone, Share New Video

Known for their wild live shows and equally wild recordings, Ottawa punks New Swears will be bringing the party to Dine Alone Records, announcing their signing to the label today.

The band's first effort for the label will come in the form of a new 7-inch record, with Brand New Spot/Sugar Heavy Metal set to arrive on November 4. The release follows 2014's Junk Food Forever, Bedtime Whatever.

If that wasn't enough news, the band have also shared a video for the release's A-side. The clip for "Brand New Spot" sees the four-piece enjoy beer, chips, ice cream, burgers, sparklers some of life's greatest pleasures in nature and in the city. A press release indicates that the tune hints at the sonic direction a forthcoming full-length could take, "recalling both the Buzzcocks and Jesus of Cool-era Nick Lowe, if Nick Lowe and the Buzzcocks were a bunch of self-identified skids from Ottawa."
