Neil Young Plots North American Tour With Death Cab and Wilco

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 19, 2008

Neil Young was called "the godfather of grunge" to interest the younger generations, but he’ll prove his overall relevance once again with a massive North American tour that begins in October and continues until mid-December. To make him seem relevant once again to the kiddies, he’s invited his extended label-mates Wilco and Death Cab For Cutie on board for selected dates.

For the first half of the tour, from St. Paul, Minnesota through Omaha, Death Cab will be opening the shows, which also includes Canadian stops in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary and Vancouver. From that point on, Wilco will replace them, taking over in Halifax through to New York City.
