Vince Staples blew the roof of Vancouver's Vogue Theatre last month as part of his "The Life Aquatic" tour with Kilo Kish, and of course the ever-intrepid Nardwuar the Human Serviette was on hand for an in-depth interview with the Long Beach MC.
The clip sees the iconic Canadian music journalist speak to Staples about having his life saved by Ja Rule and Ashanti and why the old style of gangbanging is out. He also gets his hands on some wax from collaborator No I.D., in addition to a Joy Division picture disc, to which Staples enthusiastically responds, "this my shit!"
Staples' manager Corey Smyth also makes an appearance to receive a single from the first rap crew he managed at age 18.
Staples most recently released single "BagBak," which is slated to appear on a new full-length LP. You can take in the conversation between the two in the player below.
