Nanimal

'Presentation' (album stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 14, 2015

Montreal grunge-pop unit Nanimal are set to drop their debut full-length Presentation later this week, but Exclaim! is offering you the opportunity to give it an early listen.

The noise-centric outfit features a few familiar faces — comprising Louis Jackson of Parlovr on vocals and guitar, Vincent Dufour of Gulfer on guitar, Jeremy MacCuish of Parlovr and Nancy Pants taking on drumming duties, and Noémie Dignat rounding out the lineup on bass — the band deliver brash, distorted rock'n'roll. Bounce-along backbeats and peppy pop melodies brighten things up just enough throughout the nine-song collection.

It was recorded at Studio La Traque with Jocelyn Gange, mixed by Martin Horn, and mastered by Harris Newman. The album art was designed by Tallulah Fontaine.

The group will be launching the album this Friday (April 17) at Quai Des Brumes in their hometown, and you can get the show details over here.

For now, though, hit play below to give Presentation an early spin.
