Mundial Montreal is coming back for its 2017 edition this fall, and now the event has revealed its full 2017 program.

The seventh edition of the event will take place November 14 to 17 in Montreal, with this year's theme being Immigration Nation.

Among the international acts playing the event in 2017 are Leyla McCalla, Ramy Essam, AvevA, Kalàscima, Ilaria Graziano & Francesco Forni, Lo'Jo, Rocca, Noreum Machi, and Nive & the Deer Children, among others.

They will be joined by an array of Canadian acts, including Quantum Tangle, William Prince, Lacey Hill, Amanda Rheaume, Kaia Kater, Lamia Yared et l'Ensemble Zaman, Canadian World Music Orchestra, Zimbamoto, Roberto Lopez and more.

In addition to the performances, Mundial will welcome over 300 local and international world music industry professionals for a series of conferences. Highlights include keynote speaker Stephen Budd, whose Africa Express documentary will be premiered at the event. There will also be a talk by Cheryl McEnaney of Peter Gabriel's Real World Records, as well as a panel called Idle No More part 2: Indigenizing the Music Industry.

Speaking of this year's theme of Immigration Nation, Mundial Montreal artistic director Derek Andrews said, "As strife and intolerance come to define our current socio-political climate, we recognize the importance of working together and the strength that comes in celebrating our cultural diversity. Canada is a country of immigrants — living on Indigenous land. We believe that the arts are an important tool for helping to achieve a more inclusive society, as well as for advancing the cause of reconciliation."

Festival badges, pro-badges and tickets are available on the Mundial Montreal website.
