Because time is bonkers, Motion City Soundtrack's 2003 debut album, I Am the Movie, turned 20 earlier this year. To celebrate, the band have mapped out an anniversary tour — which will bring them to Canada for a Toronto show — where they'll be performing the album in its entirety.
"Many of these shows will be in smaller, more intimate venues — and that is by design," Motion City Soundtrack said in a statement. "We want it to feel a bit like it did back when we released the record in 2003." They'll be joined on the road by fellow Minneapolis kids Gully Boys.
The tour kicks off on December 30 in Milwaukee, though it will predominantly take place in January 2024. A lone Canadian stop at Toronto's Opera House (January 15) is scheduled as the final show of the run.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday (October 23) at 10 a.m. ET, while presales are currently ongoing. See the full itinerary below.
