Motörhead made some of their final live performances officially part of their release canon with the Clean Your Clock collection last year, and the band are now set to look back on their history of cover tunes with a new compilation.

Titled Under Cover, the LP will bring together the band's cover versions of songs by Judas Priest, Metallica, Ramones, the Rolling Stones and more. The 11-track disc will arrive through the band on September 1.

Highlighting the package is a previously unreleased cover of David Bowie's "Heroes," which the band recorded during the sessions for their 2015 LP Bad Magic. It marks one of the final recordings by legendary frontman Lemmy Kilmister, who passed away in December of that year.

"It's such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming out of it from us, and so it proved to be and Lemmy ended up loving our version," guitarist Phil Campbell said in a statement [via Rolling Stone]. "We were happy with them at the time and we're happy with them now!"

Of the Bowie cover, drummer Mikkey Dee added that "[Lemmy] was very, very proud of it, not only because it turned out so well but because it was fun! Which is what projects like this should be — fun! We should remember that it's about having some fun with songs that we all loved."
