The late J Dilla is about to be celebrated with another posthumous collection. This time around, the King of Beats will be toasted with a 3 LP set of rarities titled Dillatronic, which lands October 30 via Vintage Vibez Music Group.
A press release notes that the collection was co-curated between DJs Alien Villainz and Dilla's own mother, Ma Dukes. The 40-track effort will be spread across three plates of vinyl, as well as on a single CD. Though a tracklisting has yet to be made available, Dillatronic is said to showcase the producer's "undeniable electronic influences."
"I can smile in my heart, knowing my son's work is being shared with the people as we planned before he passed," Ma Dukes said in a statement. "I only share the best, and I only hope to continue introducing the world to the genius of J Dilla."
The vinyl edition presents the three platters on coloured vinyl, and will be housed in glow-in-the-dark, embossed sleeves, along with an 18x24 poster. The collection is also being offered up in premium packages that include cassettes, carrier bags, and t-shirts. You'll find more info over here.
Before Dillatronic drops in full, you can sample the set's spiraling "Dillatronic #7." A stream of the beat is down below.
