Montreal Jazz Festival Gets the Roots, Ludovico Einaudi, Tash Sultana for 2022 Edition

Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Jean-Michel Blais, Cadence Weapon and more will also perform

The Montreal International Jazz Festival is returning to action this summer, and organizers have lifted the curtain on their 2022 lineup.

Running in the city from June 30 to July 9, the festival's 2022 edition will feature over 350 concerts from local, national and international talent — two-thirds of which will be free of charge.

Headliners for the Montreal International Jazz Festival's 42nd edition include storied hip-hop band the Roots, Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi, Australian singer-songwriter Tash Sultana, Kamasi Washington, Pink Martini, Woodkid, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Robert Glasper, Masego and Marcus Miller.

Also found in the lineup are names including Makaya McCraven, Al Di Meola, Joey Bada$$, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Holly Cole, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Jean-Michel Blais, Lee Fields, serpentwithfeet, Cadence Weapon, Sudan Archives, Alfa Mist, Ravi Coltrane, the Psychedelic Furs, Jeff Parker, Witch Prophet, Laura Niquay, Aysanabee, TOBi and more.

Tickets for the festival performances go on sale April 1 at 10 a.m. local time, while a pre-sale is available to newsletter subscribers beginning March 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Further information can be found via the event's official website.
