As we previously told you, those post-rockin guys from Mogwai are setting up to drop their new album The Hawk Is Howling September 22. And is common practice with such things, the surly Scots have now announced a string of corresponding North American tour dates that include Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Victoria and Vancouver.
Along with The Hawk Is Howling, the dates come in support of the bands upcoming Batcat EP, which features 13th Floor Elevators psych god Roky Erickson lending his voice to the track "Devil Rides. The Wai are also dropping a lovely expanded reissue of Young Team, which comes complete with a whole whack of new liner notes and a bonus disc featuring unreleased live tracks, radio sessions and their cover of the Spacemen 3 track, "Honey. And if youre a vinyl fan, Young Team is also getting pressed up as a big 4LP vinyl box, but obviously its limited (only 2,000 are out there), so if you want one before they skyrocket in price on eBay you better act fast.
