Millencolin aren't playing North By Northeast this year, but they did last year. Fortunately, when they were here,
singer Nikola arčević met up with us to film an Exclaim! TV
session of Millencolin's "No Cigar."
The video starts off with arčević introducing himself, followed by a new side to his band's now nearly 15-year-old single. The solo take is far calmer than the skate punk the Pennybridge Pioneers are known for, but it certainly works as he croons a coming-of-age tale about not caring if you fit in.
Though these Swedes only have European shows announced this year, their country will still be represented at NXNE, with Goat playing the Exclaim! showcase tomorrow (June 20) alongside Zorch, Golden Teacher, Pissed Jeans and Army Girls.
