Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum — the dance-rock project of Dexter's Michael C. Hall, Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz-Bohen — have shared a new Dylan Greenberg-directed music video for their song "Nevertheless."

Greenberg, the cult director behind ReAgitator: Revenge of the Parody and Dark Prism, has delivered an eccentric '80s-inspired music video, which finds Hall's disembodied head floating around menacingly while chasing Yanowitz and Katz-Bohen around a neon grid universe.

"We shot for three full days, and on the last day we shot at Dylan's apartment to get Matt and I entering the building and going up the elevator," Yanowitz told Rolling Stone. "And Dylan's partner was baking sweet potatoes in the oven. I'm a real smell-oriented person and smells stay with me a lot longer than most other senses."

He continued: "And that smell of the baking sweet potato is ingrained in my brain and also I associate it with this song now, that's how much the smell power is in my world. So now, whenever I hear this song, I just get that smell. I just thought I'd throw that in there."

"Nevertheless" appears on Princess's debut album Thanks for Coming, which was released back in February.

Meanwhile, Hall is due to appear in the upcoming Dexter: New Blood reboot. The series is set to return on November 7 on Showtime.
