Earlier this year, French singer Melody Prochet announced plans for her new seven-track album as Melody's Echo ChamberEmotional Eternal, and now, the artist has returned with plans for another. Titled Unfold, the second seven-track album to be released this year arrives on September 30 through Fat Possum Records alongside the 10th anniversary reissue of debut album, Melody's Echo Chamber.

Co-produced by her then-boyfriend, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, the new record is billed as the "lost" follow-up to her 2012 self-titled debut, and contains rare and unreleased tracks, which were previously thought to be deleted and gone forever.

"The album was fifty percent completed, and then the relationship just didn't make it through the process," the artist said in a release. "And then I tried to work on it on my own for a couple years, until I realized that I was just really hurting myself doing that."

Today, she shares the record's title track, one-and-a-half minutes of beach-groovy goodness, bookended by Prochet's high-pitched vocals. It arrives alongside a very 2012-style music video, rich in texture and high-contrast edits of shoreline footage.

"To me this song captures the emotional ambivalence of a crossroad," said Prochet, "like a child finding a special seashell hidden in the sand but the ocean's creature still lives inside, I guess it's the sound releasing of the beloved."
