Megan Bonnell

"We Are Strangers Now" (live video) / "Coming Home"

Toronto singer Megan Bonnell previously shared the title track from her upcoming album Hunt and Chase, and now we've got a live recording of the track "We Are Strangers Now," plus the album cut "Coming Home," to tide us over until its October 15 release.

"We Are Strangers Now" is a slow, melancholic folk waltz, and we watch Bonnell and her band perform the laid-back tune while gathered in a circle in a cozy room. The entire thing is filmed in a single shot, and we see close-up footage of Bonnell's face plus her backup singer, bassist, drummer and omnichord player.

"Coming Home" offers a slightly darker spin on Bonnell's folksy sound, although it's similarly pretty and atmospheric. Stream it over at her website.

Hunt and Chase will come out through Nevado. See Bonnell's tour schedule below.
