Mayhem Sign to Century Media for New Album

The Norwegian black metal legends' will release their sixth full-length this fall

Long-running and influential Norwegian black metal band Mayhem have announced their new album will arrive later this year. While no title has been revealed yet, the record will arrive on October 25 via their new label home of Century Media Records.

This will mark Mayhem's sixth album and follows 2014's Esoteric Warfare.

"Once again Mayhem is writing a new chapter in its 35 year history," Mayhem said in a collective statement. "We are excited to now have joined forces with Century Media and are eager to see what this partnership can do for us both in the future."

Mayhem's current lineup includes core members Necrobutcher, Hellhammer and Attila Csihar, in addition to Teloch and Ghul.

Along with the new album reveal, Mayhem have announced a European tour, the dates of which you can find below.

Of course, Mayhem's violent story was recently told in the film Lords of Chaos.
