Once again, long-running Canadian songwriting vet Matthew Good is gearing up for a new solo album. And while it's not expected out until this fall, today (July 14) we're getting a taste of it via the newly released "Decades."
While Good has been previewing the song live recently, he's now rolled out a slick new video for the single, which will appear on his as-yet-untitled new album coming via Warner. The clip was directed by Elliott Montello and stars child-actor Max Jenkins, who stars as Will Robinson the new Lost in Space remake.
"This is a song about the realization of the personal price you pay being an artist for decades," Good said in a statement. "Max was absolutely phenomenal, as was Alan, and everyone involved in the production. From the minute things got going we knew we were watching a rare talent and it only served to increase everyone's enthusiasm. Few actors can do that, let alone at 12 years old."
While we await on a proper album announcement from Good, watch the video for "Decades" below, where you'll also find his upcoming tour dates.
Tour dates:
08/12 Kelowna, BC - Cedarcreek Estate Winery
08/23 Montreal, QC - Place Des Arts *
08/25 Toronto, ON - Budweiser Stage *
08/26 Niagara Falls, ON - Scotiabank Convention Centre
* with Midnight Oil
