Charges have been laid on a Philadelphia man over last week's shooting near French Montana's tour bus, which left one man dead and another injured.

According to Philly.com [via MTV] police arrested 20-year-old Frank Briggs on Tuesday (March 6) and charged him with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, weapons offences and related charges.

The accused allegedly pulled into a Holiday Inn Express in Philadelphia last Thursday night (February 28) and opened fire at a crowd gathered near Montana's tour bus. New Yorker Jowann King was shot in the chest during the incident and died later in a nearby hospital.

It had previously been hinted by police that they did not suspect Montana, who had arrived at the hotel following a show, was a target in the shooting. The rapper himself denied being connected to the incident, telling local news sources: "I feel bad about what happened but nobody was shooting at me....I don't know, it was just fans. It was fans. Something happened outside my bus, but it didn't have nothing to do with me."
