About two weeks ago, Madonna was hospitalized with a bacterial infection. The pop icon was due to begin her arena tour on July 15 at Vancouver's Rogers Centre, but now the entirety of its North American leg will be rescheduled to a later date.

After reportedly being released from the hospital on June 29 following a multi-day stay, Madonna has taken to Instagram to address her concerned fans. "Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement," she wrote. "I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life."

Madge continued, "My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I'll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe." The first show of her UK and European leg is scheduled for October 14 at London's O2 Arena.

In addition to Vancouver, the singer had been slated to play Canadian shows in Toronto and Montreal this summer. The exact dates of the now-postponed concerts in North America have yet to be announced.
