Who are you? Lyndon Ulmer.

What are you up to? Committing myself to serious indecision.

Hometown and current HQ: Edmonton, Calgary.

Current fixations: Chaos, bold colours, innovative smells, travel writing, sleep deprivation, Indian food.

Mind altering work of art (not your own): The new Radiohead album.

Most memorable/inspirational gig and why? The The at U of C - the guy's voice seemed impossible and the feeling and mood they created was incredible.

What should everyone shut up about? Everyone should always shut up about anything to do with that fucking Friends show or any mention of American politics until there's threat of war or an assasination.

Your greatest strength and weakness: My strength is my ability to tell or retell a good story, my weakness is the inability to know when to shut up.

Your vital daily ritual: It's personal, private and 85% of males do it (enough said!)

Guilty pleasure: See above while picturing Julie Macoy from the love boat.

If I wasn't playing music I would be: See question 9.

Your most memorable day job: Picking bananas in Israel.

Best/worst advice received: Go to school, cut your hair, settle down, get married, don't travel - it will only be a waste of time.

I would drop everything to play a benefit for: Amnesty International or A Tibetan Freedom gig.

What makes you want to take it off and get it on? A woman within thirty yards of me that isn't handcuffed in a police car (well, if she was cute...)

What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band? And have you? Arrogance, bad taste and extreme deficiencies in personal hygiene. Yes I have, we also drove over his toes with a car full of equipment to make our point.

When I think of Canada I think: It's an excellent country, but holy christ is it ever cold!

Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why? Usually, but I've often paid to see both.

Strangest brush with celebrity: I hung with Seal in Bangkok and gave him a big drunken kiss shortly before leaving the country.

What does your mom wish you were doing instead? Any number of things but the priesthood is probably up there.
