Published Mar 31, 2015In a recent interview, Montreal-based duo Look Vibrant revealed they were working on some new tracks for the group. "The goal is to maintain the core 'aggressive' production aesthetic," said bandmember Justin Lazarus, who handles vocals, keyboards and production for the group, "just airbrush it a tad."
Exclaim! TV caught Look Vibrant's energetic set at The Garrison in Toronto as part of this year's Wavelength Music Festival, where the band treated the crowd to some new material in the form of unreleased track "Callous Reaction."
After tweaking his keyboard settings, Lazarus hammers out an opening melody before Matthew Murphy's guitar, Eli Kaufman's drums and Alex Rand's bass join in to back him up. After a pair of driving verses in which Murphy reaches up into an almost unattainable vocal register, a technical solo guitar and keyboard section, followed by some three-part harmonies, whips the crowd into a frenzy.
