Saturday Night Live alumni the Lonely Island recently announced that they'd officially started work on their long-awaited new feature film with producer Judd Apatow. Now, more details have emerged from the project.
Though it was originally listed as Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie, the film now has a title. It's called Conner4real.
The film follows the story of a former boy band star (played by Andy Samberg) who tries to launch a solo career as a rapper. When that fails, he's forced to reunite with his former bandmates (presumably played by Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone).
Conner4real is expected to make some jabs at saccharine celebrity docs like Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and Katy Perry: Part of Me.
In addition to the Lonely Island members, Deadline reports that fellow former SNLer Tim Meadows has joined the cast of the film. He'll play Samberg's manager, who Deadline describes as "constantly upbeat and overworked."
Sarah Silverman has also been added to the project as Samberg's publicist, while The Wrap reports that Imogen Poots is also in talks for a role.
