Lives of Many

Until We Lay This to Rest

BY Jasamine White-GluzPublished Feb 20, 2007

Winnipeg’s indie/emo sweethearts Lives of Many have a DIY success story on their hands with Until We Lay This to Rest. Released on their own Primer Records and supported by some pretty major distribution, this record has enough oomph to get their somewhat generic brand of emo all over Much Music. "Renoir” shines because of its multiple catchy vocal hooks, while the pretty guitar on "Sleep Through the Whole Thing” is ironically quite reminiscent of Armor for Sleep. Lives of Many get extra points for effort and are likely bound to play alongside Canada’s other emo favorites in the future.
