Lil Wayne's Sentencing Postponed Due to, Um, Dental Surgery

Lil Wayne has an uncanny way of delaying bad things in his life. First, there was his absolutely terrible rock album, Rebirth, which he managed to postpone for nearly two years. Now, he's managed to delay his weapons-related prison sentence. Wayne was expected to start his year-long stint in the slammer tomorrow (February 10), but will now be waiting until March.

How did the rapper avoid getting behind bars? The answer lies in his diamond encrusted teeth. According to MTV, the metal in Weezy's mouth has caused him to crack a tooth. Who knew that covering your entire teeth with metal and bling could be harmful?

Now, Wayne has to get dental surgery before he can enter the big house. His surgery is scheduled on February 12, and his new jail sentence kicks off on March 2. That gives him nearly a month, so don't be surprised if he drops one more mixtape before then.
