Lil Wayne Officiated a Same-Sex Marriage in Prison

Lil Wayne's career has been marked by extremely high highs and terribly low lows. A particularly dark chapter in his life will be explored with a new memoir that details his stint at New York's Rikers Island prison in 2010.

As previously reported, the book is called Gone 'Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island and features plenty of fascinating tidbits culled from Weezy's prison diary. Some stories from the book are particularly heartwarming, like the time Wayne officiated a marriage between two male inmates.

As Page Six reports [via Pitchfork], Weezy joined two men in matrimony while they were all locked up together, and the result was a beautiful makeshift wedding scene.

"Gatorade is liquid gold in this bitch," he wrote of the particular bottles that were popped at the celebration. "Imagine seeing grown-ass men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations. AND one of them is Lil Wayne. Crazy."

It's not all good vibes and romance in the book, however. The book also confirms rumours that Drake slept with Wayne's then-girlfriend while he was behind bars. "Drizzy came to see me, he was like, 'Yeah, it's true,'" Wayne wrote. "Damn! This is the type of [bleep] a man never wants to find out while he is locked up."

Gone 'Til November arrives, well, right before November. It has an October 11 release date through Penguin.
