Lil Wayne Hopes to Take Drake and Nicki Minaj in Cash Money Split

Lil Wayne's storied struggle with Birdman and Cash Money Records has turned into something of a custody battle. Following news that he's suing the imprint for $8 million, new details suggest that Weezy hopes to take his Young Money crew with him.

According to TMZ, Weezy intends to retain his full Young Money roster in the Cash Money split. That means, of course, that he'd bring Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Christina Milian, Mack Maine and Lil Twist (among others) if and when the split goes through.

Though Young Money Entertainment is distributed by Cash Money, it looks like Weezy refuses to let Birdman retain control of the artists.

Only time will tell if Weezy manages to successfully escape the clutches of the YMCMB alliance, or if he'll manage to release his new album Tha Carter V.

For now, you can listen to the Migos-assisted "Amazing Amy" below.
