Lightning Dust promised a change of pace with their upcoming Fantasy, and that's definitely what we're getting. Following the teaser track "Diamond" (and its video), the Black Mountain offshoot of Amber Webber and Josh Wells have given us the synth-heavy "Loaded Gun."
Anchored by Webber's drama-flecked vocals, the song picks up on a John Carpenter vibe via some thick, chunky synthesizers and spooky undertones. But in a sense, this brings to mind some Deep Cuts-era Knife as well.
Have a listen below.
As previously reported, Fantasy arrives June 25 through Jagjaguwar. In support of the record, the duo will be heading out on some North American dates, which you can see here.
