Montreal has shown an outpouring of love for Leonard Cohen since the his death last year, hosting murals, art exhibitions and concert extravaganzas in his honour. Now, the singer-songwriter has once again been immortalized in his hometown thanks to a new video for "Leaving the Table."
The track appeared on last year's You Want It Darker LP, and its posthumous video accompaniment features an animated Cohen dancing over top Montreal, travelling through space and time, and eventually returning home.
The video premiered last night (September 18) during the Polaris Music Prize gala, at which You Want It Darker was nominated for the titular honour.
