Le Volume Courbe Wishes 'Dee Dee Ramone Was Here With Me' on New LP, Shares "Rusty"

France-born, London-based singer-songwriter Charlotte Marionneau released her debut album as Le Volume Courbe back in 2005, and now she's finally unveiled plans for the follow-up to I Killed My Best Friend. Titled I Wish Dee Dee Ramone Was Here With Me, the sophomore record will arrive on October 30 through Ring the Alarm/Pickpocket.

Marionneau previously shared a single called "The House" featuring My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields, who also provides vocals on Rock Erickson cover "I Love the Living You" and mixed a new song called "Rusty."

A statement about the new album from Marionneau [via Pitchfork] reads:

Now I understand why second albums are 'difficult.' Your first album is your 'best of; the music you've made all your life; then you start again from scratch. I'm not prolific, but I need an album to be strong throughout. I have to build it like a collage; I feel more like a producer than a musician really. So I pick up ideas and create songs around them. It's about trying things, experimenting.

The album artwork is pictured above, and you can hear Marionneau's musical ideas come together in the aforementioned new single "Rusty" below.
