Now based in Los Angeles, garage pop duo Le Plaisir have roots in Paris and Edmonton. Still, on the debut music video from their forthcoming Crown Shyness LP, they appear to be from a different planet altogether.
The video for "No Ordinary Wave" was directed by Edmonton glitch artist Parker Thiessen, who has concocted a messy feast of colourful, messy aesthetics. "I like how much it reads like '90s found VHS footage, like you found an old tape washed up on the beach," he says of the clip.
