LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy Scores Upcoming Noah Baumbach Film

As we desperately await the March 2010 release of LCD Soundsystem's third album, we've been ecstatic over every little bone thrown our way. First, there was the announcement that James Murphy and company were lining up a new single and tour dates. Then, the single dropped, in the form of a cover of Suicide's Alan Vega, with the track "Bye Bye Bayou". Now, it's been revealed that Murphy has contributed new music to the upcoming film from beloved mumblecore director Noah Baumbach.

The film is called Greenberg and stars Ben Stiller. As The Playlist points out, the trailer not only features LCD's "All My Friends," but also suggests that the band will be including new music, as well as an original score, to the film. The deal is sweetened by the fact that the film actually looks incredibly entertaining.

Unfortunately, Greenberg isn't set to hit theatres until March 12. By then, we'll hopefully have the brand new LCD Soundsystem in our hands anyway.
