This inventive francophone pop trio explored a range of emotions during a performance so captivating, a large audience looked on in silence until it came time to shower the band with applause in between songs. However petite, singer Fanny Bloom is a big presence and she and her band-mates (identified as Roboto and Kilojules) have a knack for emotive pop, which can progress energetically or emerge in a stirring ballad. Though they ended this set on a subdued note, La patère rose were totally compelling, luring new listeners into their mysterious sound.
