Norwegian metal force Kvelertak spent part of last month tracking the follow-up to 2013's Meir, and now North American fans can look forward to getting their faces melted by the new tunes ahead of a proper LP release. The act have unveiled plans to premiere new music during a spring tour with Florida doom-pop players Torche.
The tour was announced today (February 3), with Kvelertak noting in a statement that this upcoming leg of headlining dates begins in April. Throughout the trip, they promise to "show you some new tunes from our upcoming album!"
Kvelertak will be joined on most dates by Torche, as well as Bellingham, WA's Wild Throne. Converge/Cave In offshoot Mutoid Man are also appearing on a pair of dates.
While mostly taking place on the U.S. club circuit, the trip heads into Canada for shows in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. A full breakdown of the itinerary can be found below.
Details are slim on Kvelertak's next LP, though the band's Facebook page features a handful of recent shots of the band in a recording studio. More info is expected in the near future.
