King Reign

'The King Reign Mixdown by DJ Grouch' (mixtape)

Toronto rap stalwart King Reign released his Sincere LP earlier this summer, and he's already back with a new freebie courtesy of Scion Sessions.

Coming as part of the Scion Sessions Mixtape Series, the 19-track release is called The King Reign Mixdown by DJ Grouch, which — as you can guess — was mixed by DJ Grouch. It sees Reign working alongside Saukrates, Leila Dey, Pharoahe Monch and more. The mix includes cuts from Sincere, some older tracks and two bonus newbies, among others.

It's not just a digital mix, either. The mixtape will be available on a limited cassette tape at Reign's upcoming Toronto show, taking place at Tattoo on September 4. The show sees Reign share the stage with hip-hop heavyweights eMC.

If you're unable to attend but still want to get your hands on a cassette, you can follow Scion Sessions on Twitter for more info. In the meantime, you can stream King Reign's Scion Sessions mixtape below.
