Garage punk luminaries and ex-Sexareenos King Khan and Mark Sultan always make a joyful noise in their duo, the King Khan and BBQ Show. A good chunk of North America will be able to experience their stompin rock n roll jams live, as the band have announced theyll be spending much of the fall on tour.
The whole thing kicks off in Detroit on October 27. From there, the dudes will cover a great deal of the States as well as some Canadian stops in Vancouver, Toronto, and Ottawa. Considering the fact that BBQ lives in Montreal and King Khan is a Canadian ex-pat, thats not a ton of Canadian dates, but whos complaining?
Along with the tour, the band will be issuing a seven-inch featuring the songs "ANIMAL PARTY" and "God of Raisins" via Fat Possum. The limited gatefold record will include a 15-page colouring book designed by Montreal artist Mathieu Trude. It will hit stores in early November.
