Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and former frontman Howard Jones haven't appeared on a record together since 2019's Atonement, but it appears that will soon change, as the two have teased a new project.
Back in December, Jones — who has been known to fish Winnipeg's finest lakes and rivers — shared a shot of himself and Dutkiewicz — a former winner of The Price Is Right — meeting up for a sushi lunch in Los Angeles.
Sure, getting such a dish in a coastal city isn't unheard of, but it's a post concerning the duo's latest man date where things get interesting. Yesterday (February 21), Jones shared a new photo and shared how he and Dutkiewicz got together for "Sushi and going over new demos. It's happening." Among his included hashtags? "#NewProject."
Jones — who currently fronts Light the Torch (f.k.a. Devil You Know) — guested on Killswitch Engage's Atonement after he fronted the metalcore outfit through a formative period in which they established themselves as genre stalwarts. His vocals appear on 2004's The End of Heartbreak, 2006's As Daylight Dies and 2009's self-titled LP.
Killswitch Engage announced Jones's departure in January 2012. The frontman later explained that his exit was a result of worsening health issues, including type 2 diabetes, anxiety and depression.
Dutkiewicz and Killswitch Engage have yet to announce a studio follow-up to Atonement. Last year, the Grammy-nominated outfit delivered live LP Live at the Palladium.
