Las Vegas-bred pop rock troupe the Killers have delivered some details on their next album, including news that it will be called Battle Born. As previously reported, the band started working on the collection a year ago, and new reports suggest the album should hit retailers sometime this fall.

Speaking with Rolling Stone [via NME], singer Brandon Flowers explained that the album took its name from the group's home studio, as well as from the state slogan of Nevada.

"In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better," Flowers said.

According to drummer Ronnie Vannucci, Battle Born is the group's "difficult fourth record."

The album was tracked with a number of producers, including Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O'Brien. While a tracklisting has yet been posted, new tracks "Heart of a Girl," "Flesh and Bone," "Carry Me Home" and "Runaways" are expected to appear on the set.

You can also check out a fan-shot live vid for "The Rising Tide," as performed in the UK last year, down below. It's uncertain at present time, however, whether the song will make the cut.

The Killers' last LP was 2008's Day & Age.
