Well, consider this one mystery solved. Following a cryptic Instagram post this morning (March 23), Kendrick Lamar has dropped a new single called "The Heart Part 4."
The song is now up to stream/download on Apple Music and iTunes, and you can pick it up here or stream at the bottom of the page. Above you can see the single's new cover art, which is what Kendrick posted up this morning. "The Heart Part 4" is expected to appear on Kendrick's recently teased yet undetailed new album, which is slated to arrive this year.
In fact, as Lamar raps on the new track, "Y'all got till April the 7th to get y'all shit together," so don't be surprised if that's when his new album arrives. After all, April 7 is a Friday.
To hear that plays out, dig into "The Heart Part 4" down below.
The song marks the first proper Kendrick track we've heard since his untitled unmastered. arrived unexpectedly last March. That, of course, followed To Pimp a Butterfly. You can pick up both albums — and our 2012 Album of the Year good kid, m.A.A.d city — here.

So far, though, Kendrick has described the LP as "very urgent," saying that it would shift the political focus of 2015's much-celebrated To Pimp a Butterfly back to his own community and God.The Heart Part 4 https://t.co/C9M7ZH1o4v
