After months of anticipation, the Prism Prize was handed out last night (May 14) at a ceremony in Toronto.

Kaytranada took home the top honour for the Martin C. Pariseau-directed video for his 99.9% cut "Lite Spots." Pariseau was on hand to accept the trophy and monetary award.

That wasn't the only award handed out, though. The director behind Andy Shauf's "The Magician" video, Winston Hacking, received the Prism Prize Audience Award.

Don Allan of Revolver Films, meanwhile, accepted his previously announced Prism Prize Special Achievement Award, which honours a Canadian music video maker for "their artistic achievements and exceptional contribution to music video art on a world stage."

Furthermore, the Lipsett Award (honouring "an innovative and unique approach to music video art") went to Kid. Studio, while July Talk took home the Hi-Fidelity Award (toasting an artist "for exhibiting a strong visual identity through music video").
