Rap phenom Kanye West knows no bounds when it comes to promoting himself. Though he's set up his very own DONDA company to handle some design work, he's decided to reach outside his camp for a new project, hiring famed artist Peter Saville.

Saville has previously lent his visual flare to countless famed Factory Records releases, including Joy Division's iconic Unknown Pleasures cover, as well as non-label work for the likes of Peter Gabriel, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Roxy Music and many others.

Dezeen confirms that the two are working together [via Consequence of Sound]. Speaking at the Global Design Forum last night (September 16), Saville confirmed his involvement with Kanye, saying, "We're looking at ways of writing 'Kanye West. What does 'Kanye' and 'Kanye West' look like written down?"

Yeezy, for his part, reportedly asked for a design similar to Adolphe Mouron Cassandre's famed Yves Saint Laurent logo.
