Before he launches his rumoured country career, lovable pop star Justin Timberlake will first contribute to a new movie about trolls. No, we're not talking about dudes who leak upskirt photos on 4chan — we mean the much more innocent trolls from the '90s.
As The Hollywood Reporter explains, JT has signed on for multiple jobs in Dreamworks' upcoming film Trolls. In addition to voicing one of the movie's main characters, he's also the film's executive music producer and plans to write and perform original music for its soundtrack.
In a press release, Justin Timberlake suggested that he's been waiting his entire life to perform as a tiny little troll doll. "I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn't be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks' Trolls," he said. "This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can't wait for everyone to experience it all."
In addition to Timberlake, Trolls will star Anna Kendrick. The movie was directed by Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn, who previously handled Shrek Ever After together. It will arrive in theatres on November 6.
