Justice's New Track "Safe and Sound" Emerges Online

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 8, 2016

It's been ages since electronic duo Justice sent any new tunes our way, but French DJ and Ed Banger owner Busy P (a.k.a. Pedro Winter) apparently dropped a new track into a set at last month's Sónar festival for Spanish music fans.

During the June 18 Ed Banger House Party, the label head slipped a bit of then-unidentified music into the mix, which featured familiar, French Touch-type synth melodies and a whole bunch of choir vocals.

After a live recording of the set made it online, a resourceful redditer named "Ronny_t4" [via the French ShuffleShazamed the track, and discovered that it had been tagged as a Justice tune titled "Safe and Sound."

Justice, meanwhile, have not officially announced the single on their own, but TSUGI Mag recently tweeted a picture from the inside an upcoming issue of theirs that details Winter's current top 10 songs, including Justice's "Safe and Sound." Winter would co-sign this post with a "like."

Further stirring the pot, a photo of Justice's Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay signing paperwork with Ed Banger appeared on Twitter earlier this spring. The post noted that the music duo were about to go on "new adventures" with the dance music imprint.

While "Safe and Sound" has yet to make its way to fans officially, you can see the Shazam-nabbed cover art for the single above, and listen to a live rip of the track below.

UPDATE (7/13, 11:10 a.m. EDT): Ed Banger has now confirmed that "Safe and Sound" will be given its official premiere today via Annie Mac's BBC program.
Despite delivering the Access All Arenas concert LP in 2013, Justice have not dropped a full-length studio release since 2011's Audio, Video, Disco.
