Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has been sharing teasers for his impending album with his new band the Voidz, and now he's offered some details about its release, along with a few other tantalizing tidbits.

Speaking with Chilean publication La Tercera [via Strokes News/Pitchfork], he said that the new album is tentatively due out in September. He cited Sébastien Tellier and Black Flag as influences.

The record will be released under the name Juliana Casablancas + the Voidz. Watch the recent mini-doc about the band here.

In other exciting news, Casablancas said that he and Daft Punk — with whom he wrote "Instant Crush" from last year's Random Access Memories — worked on another new song. Speaking with Chile's Radio Cooperativa [also via Strokes News], he said, "There is another... Daft Punk song that we worked on that was cool. Maybe I'll get those guys — we can do that one day soon, finish it. But not on this record."

He added that the Strokes will continue to work together in the near future, saying that he wanted to emphasize "positive friend vibes."

Stay tuned for more from the Voidz in the coming months.
