Now that the wait is almost over for Strokes front-man Julian Casablancas's solo album to drop, there's a lot to report. The album, Phrazes for the Young, is due in stores on November 3, but if you can handle the wait, a deluxe version of the record is being issued right before Christmas.
If you hold out, you can pick up a deluxe Phrazes set in an antique-looking box. The set includes the album on CD and 180-gram LP, along with a 48-page book signed by Casablancas, a DVD, a poster, a pin and a CD of demos and B-sides. The fancy Phrazes for the Young box is due in stores on December 18.
On top of that, Julian Casablancas is launching a world tour in support of the record. The tour will see him hitting up North America and Europe, with one Canadian date in Vancouver on November 23. Tickets for that show go on sale this Friday (October 30).
