Vancouver-based folk-pop crafter Jordan Klassen has announced he's inked up with growing indie imprint Nevado Records (Library Voices, Royal Canoe) to deliver his next LP, Repentance. An official street date has yet to be unveiled, but the album is expected to arrive sometime in September.
A press release confirms that Klassen has become a part of the Nevado family, and claims that Repentance is "an engaging and beautiful record, steeped in sonic whimsy and alluring melodies." While tracklisting details have yet been made available, Klassen has premiered a video for first single "Go to Me," which you can see down below. Fans may note the song isn't exactly new, though, having previously appeared on last year's Kindness EP.
"Go to Me" will also arrive as a stand-alone single on July 23 and feature a remix courtesy of collaborator Teen Daze.
Klassen has a handful of Western Canadian dates lined up this summer, with info on gigs in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Toronto and Montreal coming somewhere further down the line. You can check out his schedule as is down below.
