Jonny Greenwood Details Collaborative Album with Krzysztof Penderecki

Remember Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood's collaborative album with avant-garde great Krzysztof Penderecki that we previously knew almost nothing about? Well, the details of the forthcoming record have finally emerged. Verbosely titled Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima / Popcorn Superhet Receiver / Polymorphia / 48 Responses to Polymorphia, the album is due out March 13 through Nonesuch.

The entire collection is based around the four separate moments mentioned in the title. According to an announcement from Nonesuch, Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima and Polymorphia are Penderecki compositions, while Popcorn Superhet Receiver and 48 Responses to Polymorphia are Greenwood's musical responses.

The music contained here was previously performed last year in Wrocław, Poland. Greenwood and Penderecki will play it again at Barbican Hall in London on March 22. The show will feature AUKSO, who also performed on the record. The album was produced by Filip Berkowicz.
