John Travolta has proven himself to be a hilarious screw-up at award shows, and he didn't disappoint at the MTV Video Music Awards last night. While presenting the Video of the Year Award to Taylor Swift, he tried to hand off the trophy to drag queen (and occasional Swift impersonator) Jade Jolie.
As Swift and her posse of "You Need to Calm Down" video co-stars swarmed the stage, Travolta moved to give the Moon Man to Jolie — a celebrity in her own right after a run on RuPaul's Drag Race, but definitely not the real Taylor Swift.
Travolta continued stretching out his arms toward Jolie and wondering why she wouldn't take it, while Jolie wondered what the hell Travolta was doing.
Never afraid to speak up, fellow Drag Race alumnus Tatianna mouthed something that looked a lot like "NOT TAYLOR" at Travolta, and he seemed to figure it out — unfortunately, not before Twitter noticed, though.
