Jesse Northey is taking his latest album Onion Knight on the road once more. The Edmonton-bred singer-songwriter will play shows in Alberta at the end of the month before embarking on a more extensive tour across Japan this summer.
The three-stop tour of Alberta kicks off in Edmonton on May 25 and stops in Lethbridge before closing in Calgary on May 27. Northey will then travel to Nagoya, where he'll open his 10-date tour of Japan on June 21. He'll play every night without breaks until the tour comes to a close on June 30 in Takamatsu.
Northey previewed his concert setup with a live look at Onion Knight's lead single "Soul Seeker," in which he commands the piano and lead vocals with support from his band.
"I've been really looking forward to doing some sort of live video with an actual upright piano and the full band all in the same room for a long time," he said. "I always practice and write my songs on a piano but it's never that way at a gig."
